COLLEGE TEST PREP
From diagnostic testing to personalized study plans, every aspect of our SAT and ACT prep is tailored to each student's goals, strengths, and learning style.
Our approach combines content mastery, thoughtful strategy, personalized analytics, and ongoing support to help students raise scores and walk into test day feeling prepared, capable, and confident.
What are the primary differences between the SAT and ACT?
While both exams are accepted equally by colleges, they differ in structure, pacing and question style. Here are a few key differences to keep in mind:
The SAT
The digital SAT is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes long and consists of two sections: Reading & Writing and Math.
The SAT is typically less time-pressured but often relies on shorter, more nuanced questions that require careful reading and strategic thinking.
The ACT
The ACT is 2 hours and 55 minutes long (without the optional writing section) and includes English, Math, Reading, and Science.
In general, the ACT tends to ask more straightforward questions but moves at a faster pace and covers a broader range of math topics.
For most students, the better test is the one that aligns most closely with their strengths.
That's why we often begin the process with diagnostic testing, allowing us to compare performance across both exams and determine which offers the greatest opportunity for success.

HOW WE'LL WORK TOGETHER
Our team is ready to support students and families every step of the way.
Once we get started, students typically begin with two full-length diagnostic exams: one SAT and one ACT. This gives us insight into their academic strengths and helps determine which test may be the best fit. If a student already has a clear preference, we can skip this step and move directly into a personalized study plan.
Throughout the process, we continuously track performance and monitor progress to ensure students are building momentum over time. In addition to practice tests, we utilize custom-built tracking tools and learning resources that help categorize mistakes and pinpoint areas for improvement. This allows us to focus study time where it will have the greatest impact while continually refining each student's study plan based on their evolving needs.
As test day approaches, we shift our focus toward execution. Students learn how to manage pacing, apply strategies under pressure, avoid common mistakes, and approach the exam with confidence. By the time they sit for the test, they'll have a clear plan, extensive practice experience, and a strong understanding of what to expect.
